What is MacroVerge?
Briefly put, MacroVerge is just as the name implies. It is a combination of the word “Macro” defined as large-scale, or short for all things macro level related like macroeconomics or macrostrategy; and the word “Verge” defined as the border, edge, frontier, and etc. The words were paired with no real special purpose beyond the fact of a name not taken while still meaning something close to what the focus of the site will be.
MacroVerge is an independent project unaffiliated with any organization, and primarily a blog for Kevin Yan. One can say that it is a Kevin Yan project (as I’m the only one writing and managing things). It is a place for macro level ideas to be explored at different points of intersecting disciplines, relationships, and unknown possibilities. However, due to a personal obsession, the blog will revolve around the identification, circumstances, and discovery of “Economic Statecraft” and its immediate cousin (maybe long lost sibling) “Geoeconomics“. Global markets is not another far off topic, which will see its own section.
